Pledge for Printers

Promote, Educate, and Equip

Imagine a classroom where students don’t just learn about innovation—they create it. In an environment where technology and creativity intersect, abstract ideas become tangible realities, and 3D printing transforms the way students engage with STEM subjects, critical thinking, and hands-on learning. Yet many schools across the UK still face challenges accessing this cutting-edge technology due to limited funding and resources.

The Pledge for Printers is our call to action. Our mission is to equip classrooms with state-of-the-art 3D printing facilities, empowering every child—no matter their background—to explore new career pathways, develop essential skills, and unleash their imagination. By uniting educators, businesses, community leaders, and individuals, we can bridge the gap and spark a revolution in education.

In addition to transforming learning experiences, our initiative is committed to promoting ethical, economical, and environmentally friendly 3D printing practices. We prioritize sourcing technology that is sustainably manufactured, energy efficient, and built with eco-friendly materials. This approach not only reduces the environmental footprint but also ensures that our solutions remain affordable and accessible, aligning technological advancement with social responsibility.

Through the Pledge for Printers, I am committed to ensuring that every high school in the UK has access to a 3D printer by 2030, using the funding raised to provide both the technology and the support needed for effective classroom integration. This initiative will equip students with essential skills in design, engineering, and problem-solving, empowering them to innovate and thrive in a technology-driven future. Join us as we transform every classroom into a vibrant hub of creativity and innovation, inspiring the next generation of innovators to build a sustainable future.

Where does the money go?

While your money doesn’t go directly to a particular school, it will go toward the cost of supplying a printer with materials and training for up for 5 teachers at every school we help. This is where we aim to succeed where others have failed, by providing top quality equipment and materials backed by a top notch service. This comes at a price and the cost of setting up one 3D printer, in one school, and training 5 teachers is around £2000. That means for every 2 Gold Pledges, we get to tick one school off the list, and hundreds of students will get to experience the world of 3D printing.
